We are looking for an experienced vet nurse with well-established medicine and surgery exposure to assist in our busy vet clinic in Dubbo.
Benefits
$73,150 to $85,000 plus Super depending on experience
Tasks & responsibilities
The role provides a true opportunity to expand your skills as a Lead Veterinary Nurse with the following key responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised and dedicated client care to all patients and owners
- Undertake general nursing tasks including pre and post operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
- Maintain overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
- Give medications to animals
- Assist our Veterinarians when performing examinations and treatment
- Mentor and coach the team members
Qualifications & experience
Essential criteria:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or relevant higher qualification
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Excellent animal handling skills
- Must possess extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
- Exceptional organisation, communication and customer service skills
